Machu Picchu and Cuzco in positions 3 and 4 of the 2013 destinies
The important travel web –Trip Advisor, placed Machu Picchu and Cuzco on the 3rd and 4th positions, respectively of their list of the 25 most popular destinies in South America during 2013. This is a ranking of the more commented touristic sites of the year. In this top 25, we can also find Lima (11th position), (Arequipa 17th position) and Urubamba (23rd. position). |

Pisco routes between the most interesting destinies
Pulso the Chilean Publication, publishes an article in which it indicates the more interesting destinies for travelers during 2014, worth seeing before they gain popularity. One of them in Perú: The roots of the "pisco" and its unique flavor". The report outstands Ica-Paracas , the charming "pisco" region because of its scenery and gastronomy. Paracas, is the starting point where 5 stars hotels are found. There is also the famous pier from where boats leave for the Ballestas Islands, a group of small rocky isles that shelter an ecosystem full of all kind of birds – there are more than 200 types of them-, dolphins, old salt sea dogs and Humboldt penguins, between other species that form part of the great touristic attraction of the area.

New Courtyard Miraflores by Marriott
Marriott has announced that on January 2014 the foundation stone will be placed in what will be the new Courtyard by Marriott Miraflores. This new hotel will open on June 2015. It will be located in the Schell. Street, and will demand an estimated investment of 20 million USDollars, with 150 rooms distributed amongst its 12 floors.
Best Western opened the first beach resort in Lima
The Best Western Plus Pacific View Resort, is the first beach resort opened in Lima. It covers 25000 square meters facing the sea and it is located only 90 minutes south of Lima. There are suites facing the garden or the sea, with a balcony, sitting room, bedroom and bathroom with Spanish and Turkish shower. |

La Libertad-Trujillo- Marinera Festival -13th January
Every year the Libertad Club, organizes the traditional National Contest of Marinera , which attracts a great number of spectators, charmed by the great artistic display of the contestants. The dancers come from different parts of the country and from abroad. This celebration starts in the streets of Trujillo, with parades and lively marches at the sound of the "marinera"(local dance) and there is a "queen " that heads the celebration. |

Salar de Uyuni (Salt Area)
The visit to Uyuni, is carried out in a 4x4 car. It starts at the Trains Cemetery, continuing with a visit to the salt producers, then entering the salt area of 10500 square meters at an altitude of 3600 meters over sea level. This is a unique experience, hard to be forgotten, continuing to the Island of Incahuasi, where a short walk of around 45 minutes is taken in order to get to the top of the island and make good photographs. Facing Incahuasi a picnic lunch is taken. From there , continuing to visit the Mummies of Coquesa, very well preserved, due to the cold weather, and reached after a short 15 minutes walk. In the afternoon the return to the hotel takes place. In the small town of Colchani one can find the best Salt Hotels. The coldest season is from June to September when it gets to 15c. DAKAR
A huge Chacana (Square Andean Cross) ,ceremonies, and Amauta rituals, will be some of the things that have been programmed at the Pachamama Point, so called as Kilometer Cero of the Bolivian territory, and it is through here that the different motorcycles will enter Bolivia, this Sunday the 12th of January in Villazon, during the seventh stage of the Dakar Rally 2014. Last minute details are carried out so that the entrance to the Bolivian territory near noon time, will be unforgettable for the 220 pilots.The Vice-Minister of Tourism informed that on the 11th January the roads that lead to Uyuni, Topiza, and Villazon will be closed, as these are the places where the Dakar Rally 2014 will take place. |

Archaeological Discovery.
"The Telegraph", has informed that a group of explorers, Ecuadorian, British, French and North Americans, affirm that they have found archaeological remains, presumably "Incas" in the site of the Llanganates National Park, in the depths of the Ecuadorian Amazon jungle. This discovery could help to the finding of the coveted "Treasure of the Llanganates" (Ransom of the Inca Atahualpa) |

Salinas, site of the World Junior Surf 2014
The international surfing association ISA , has chosen the well known beaches of Salinas to organize the World Championship, Junior category, for youths up to 18 years of age, that will take place between the 5th to the 13th April.
