The route of the Andean Baroque – Cuzco
It is a touristic corridor that includes the temples of the Compañia de Jesus, La Virgen Purificada de Canincunca, San Juan Bautista of Huaro and San Pedro Apostol of Andahuaylillas. The new lightning of the Huaro temple in Cuzco was recently inaugurated. The church has lights with the interplay of shadows and lights both at the portal and at the interior. The modern illumination is of low power state and does not harm the paintings of the temple that belong to the baroque style. At the interior of the temple there are murals used during the evangelization process and are signed by the Cuzco Artist Tadeo Escalante in 1802. This past October 10th, Marita Solimano, Receptive Tourism Assistant-Solmartour, took the Route of the Andean Baroque.
